Privacy

LexiTurk collects aggregate dictionary search information to identify missing words and improve translations. It does not require an account.

Dictionary search analytics

When a search reaches the LexiTurk application, it records the normalized search term, whether results were found, the number of results, whether the request used the website or API, and first/last observation times. Repeated searches are combined into counts rather than retained as individual request records.

The dictionary analytics database does not store IP addresses, user agents, cookies, referrers, or an identifier that links searches to a person. Avoid entering personal or confidential information into the search box.

Purpose and retention

Search aggregates are used to prioritize new CC0 dictionary entries and diagnose coverage. Daily history and inactive reviewed terms are normally retained for up to two years. Unresolved missing terms may be retained longer so editors can address them.

Infrastructure

Hosting and content-delivery providers may process ordinary network information, including IP addresses and security logs, to deliver and protect the website under their own data-processing terms. LexiTurk does not add visitor identities to its dictionary search analytics.
